Let’s face it…no one likes to feel emotions that are not productive. I steer away from classifying my feelings as “negative.” I like to think that all of our “humanness” has meaning and relevance to our lives. Labeling a feeling as “good” or “bad” can also be a form of self-judgment which is never productive and can be very destructive. Yet, in all honesty, we do not like all of our feelings. We don’t have to like how we feel. I am asking that we LOVE ourselves enough to allow our feelings without judgment and criticism.
Here is a step stage outline for processing your feelings:
Have the courage to move forward in spite of sometimes being hard on yourself. You can be your own worst critic which may fill you with doubt about moving forward with confidence. Remember who you are and that will give you the fuel you need to keep going. Hold your head up high like a proud lion and take ownership of who you are.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
